Nearly 900 'Significant' trees will be impacted by the Light Rail route. This includes the unnecessary loss of hundreds of Sydney's most majestic and historic trees.

The loss of many of these beautiful trees follows major changes to the project which were only on public exhibition for only two weeks in December 2014.  Notably, on the same day that the public exhibition period closed, the contract was awarded to Altrac consortium.

In addition, the discovery of a large aboriginal heritage site should have stopped works, so that the design can be reviewed. But this has been rejected by both the state and federal government.

The Greens and Labor parties are committed to a call for a Parliamentary Inquiry.  Help us convince the Cross Benchers for the need for an Inquiry, by sending off a message today!
